Mindanao
Mindanao is a land of promise. The land holds an incredible wealth from nature. It has a lot of natural wonders and many natural resources that are waiting to be uncovered. Places to visit are very suitable for relaxation and recreational activities. When we talk about tourism, it has a lot to showcase. Davao City is the capital of Mindanao and is home of the Philippine Eagle and known as the Durian Capital in the Philippines. Recently, one farmer Jose Saguban also known as Nong Joe, made it as one of the world’s best cocoa producers and the prestigious International Cocoa Awards (ICA).
Things you can do in Mindanao are: surfing in Siargao, rafting in Cagayan de Oro, amazing falls, enchanted river in Surigao del Sur, Mt. Apo in Davao City, Philippine Eagle center, or simply enjoy with the white sand beaches and don’t forget to taste Durian fruit.
Though many people especially foreigners think that Mindanao is not a place to visit because of horrible news and known as majority of muslims. Of course, some parts are safe and some are not. That is why, it is neccessary to know where to go before visiting the place. Otherwise in some province people are very friendly.
